The Orange County Clarinet
Consort
Monday, October 14, 7 – 8 p.m.
The Orange County Clarinet Consort
is a performance ensemble group
made up of professional and semi-
professional clarinetists in and around
Orange County.
The mission of the Consort is to
search out original arrangements and
original works for this unique medium,
bringing music with a classical, jazz,
and popular feel to new audiences.
The Ensemble recently returned from
Assisi, Italy, where they performed in
ClarinetFest 2013, sponsored by the
International Clarinet Foundation.
Judy Wexler, Jazz Singer
Thursday, November 7, 7 – 8 p.m.
Los Angeles native
Judy Wexler
is
a natural storyteller, with a distinctive
voice full of shadings. Her debut CD,
Easy on the Heart,
made radio waves
and introduced her to a wide jazz
audience. Her follow-up,
Dreams &
Shadows,
debuted at number 2 on
the national JazzWeek chart and
confirmed her ability to find great songs
and effortlessly bring them to life.
Under a Painted Sky,
Judy’s third CD,
was released on the Jazzed Media
label in June 2011. Her most personal
project to date, this recording marries
Judy’s expressive storytelling with
the inventive and richly harmonic
arrangements of pianist Alan Pasqua.
Judy has sung internationally and
throughout the U.S. at jazz festivals
and leading jazz venues.
This performance is made possible by a generous
gift from the Bartush Family Foundation.
