Christopher Perry Presents
Silent Movie Comedy Festival
Wednesday, April 30, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Laugh your heart out with some of
the funniest movies ever made: silent
classics by Charlie Chaplin, Laurel
& Hardy, Charley Chase, and Snub
Pollard, that were all made during the
Golden Age of Comedy in the 1920s.
The Photoplay Ensemble, an ensemble
group that specializes in authentic
live music and live sound effects
for silent movie presentations, will
provide live musical accompaniment.
Christopher Perry,
musical director
of the Photoplay Ensemble, will
introduce the film, and the “Mad Doctor
of Sound Effects”
Henry Lozano
will
provide sound effects created with
mechanical devices, the same way
they were created in the silent film era.
Experience the movies the way they
were originally intended to be seen
and heard, with authentic live music
and live sound effects!
Jason Bruecks Presents
