Hye Sung Choe, Flutist
Tuesday, April 29, 7 – 8 p.m.
A Korean-born flutist,
Hye Sung Choe
is the winner of the 2007 National
Flute Association’s Young Artists
Competition and the first and only
recipient of the highly coveted Artist’s
Certificate in the woodwind department
in the history of the Eastman School
of Music. Ms. Choe has performed in
the U.S., South Korea, and Eastern
Europe as a soloist, recitalist, and
chamber and orchestral musician.
Ms. Choe holds a Doctor of Musical
Arts degree from the renowned
Eastman School of Music where she
studied with Bonita Boyd. Currently she
teaches flute at Bethesda University of
California and the California Institute of
Technology.

Steinway Society’s 10
th
Annual
Festival Winners’ Concert
Wednesday, May 14, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
The Steinway Society of Riverside
County will present the winners of the
10
th
Annual Festival Competition in
concert. Winners range from 7 to 17
years of age. The Steinway Society
of Riverside County and Coachella
Valley was founded in 2002 to promote
excellence in piano performance, bring
music into schools, and provide music
lessons for deserving children.
Dr. Young-Hyun Cho, Pianist
Tuesday, May 20, 7 – 8 p.m.
Asan international performer,
Dr.Young-
Hyun Cho
has performed extensively
with many symphonies, both in the U.S.
and abroad. She received her Doctor of
Musical Arts degree from the Eastman
School of Music, her Master of Music
and a Graduate Performance Diploma
from Peabody Conservatory of Johns
Hopkins University, and her Bachelor of
Music from Seoul National University.
Dr. Cho currently serves as Assistant
Professor of Piano on the faculty at The
University of Texas at Arlington.
