My Adventures Hiking the
Pacific Crest Trail
In 2013,
Jamie Haney
went on the
adventure of a lifetime. Starting from
Campo, near the Mexican Border,
she spent the next several months
hiking the entire Pacific Crest Trail. By
the time she finished, she had many
stories of joy, tears, snow, heat, huge
mountain peaks, and numerous pairs
of shoes. Join Ms. Haney, who will
share her adventures with slides to
illustrate this amazing experience.

This year marks the 70
th
anniversary of
D-Day, a major turning-point in World
War II. Historian
Dr. Edward E. Gordon
will share many insights on the planning,
execution, and results of the greatest
amphibious assault in history. Dr.
Gordon is an internationally-recognized
historian, researcher, and author, who for
20 years taught at DePaul, Loyola, and
Northwestern Universities in Chicago.
He has presented at museums,
colleges, universities, conferences,
and to professional associations and
community organizations.
